Agriculture & Job Creation Agenda

Empowering Rural Communities and Driving Economic Growth

Advancing Livelihoods Through Agriculture and Employment

Honorable Moima Dabah Briggs Mensah has made agriculture and job creation a cornerstone of her legislative and development agenda—believing that a prosperous Liberia begins with empowered citizens who have access to sustainable livelihoods.

With a deep understanding of the challenges faced by rural communities, Hon. Briggs Mensah continues to champion policies and grassroots initiatives that support farmers, promote agribusiness, and open up employment opportunities, especially for youth and women. Her vision is rooted in the belief that agriculture is not just a sector—it’s a solution to food insecurity, poverty, and youth unemployment.

She has actively supported community farming cooperatives, access to agricultural tools and training, and entrepreneurship programs designed to equip young Liberians with the skills and capital needed to succeed. Hon. Briggs Mensah’s efforts also include advocacy for budgetary support to rural farmers and legislative backing for agribusiness development, ensuring that agriculture becomes a driver of inclusive economic transformation.

In alignment with national and regional development goals, she continues to engage with government agencies, private sector actors, and international partners to attract investment in agriculture and labor-intensive industries.

Her commitment is clear: to build a Liberia where work is dignified, youth are empowered, and the land becomes a source of opportunity for every household. Through her leadership, communities across her district—and Liberia at large—are witnessing a new model of development rooted in productivity, innovation, and equity.
